TypoTrip – typography on the road

Guerrilla City Information System – Koszykowa 6

The City Information System in Warsaw was brought to life in 1996 and since then the aim is to standardize
the street and information signage in the whole city. It is working pretty well so far and Warsaw can boast signs
with consistent colours, shapes and typography. Perhaps with the exception of this interesting example of a customized
street sign (the lower image) where shape, colours and typefaces were replaced, but still mimic the original design.
